How to apply for a CIMB Xpress Cash Financing-i personal loan
How much money can I borrow?

The CIMB Xpress Cash Financing-i personal loan allows you to borrow between RM3,000 and RM50,000 over repayment terms of sixth months to five years. As you apply CIMB will run a credit check using your personal details. In most cases, you will not be allowed to borrow more than 10x your monthly gross salary.

CIMB promises 24 hour approval and cash disbursement when you've completed your application and AKAD.

How much does CIMB Xpress Cash Financing-i cost?

There are no processing fees or hidden charges. You will be required to pay Government Stamp Duty, which is calculated at 0.50% of the total amount you borrow.

You may also be required to take Takaful insurance cover for the period of your loan.

What do I need to apply for this CIMB loan?

As this is an unsecured personal loan you will not need to provide a deposit or down payment. You will need to supply a guarantor if your loan is greater than RM5,000. In order to make an application you may be asked to provide supporting documents:

Copy of MyKad (front and back).
Last three month’s payment slip, EPF statement, or letter from your Employer.
Self-Employed

Business Registration Certificate.

How do I get my hands on the money?

CIMB promises to turnaround your application within 24 hours. As soon as your loan is approved the money you are borrowing will be transferred into a CIMB bank account.

How do I pay the money back?

Loan repayments begin on the first day of the month following the date you received the money you’ve borrowed. Payments need to be made every month until the total amount of the loan is repaid.

CIMB states that repayments must be made by automatic Standing Instruction.

Can I pay my CIMB Xpress Financing-i loan off early?

You can end your loan by paying the total amount owing whenever you want to but you will need to give one months notice, in writing, before you make your final payment. There are no penalty fees for early repayment and you should receive an Ibra’ (rebate) on the Interest charged for the total loan should the remaining period be six months or more.

What is Bank Rakyat’s Pembiayaan Peribadi-i Aslah Rakan Pintar?
Bank Rakyat’s Pembiayaan Peribadi-i Aslah Rakan Pintar is a Syariah compliant personal loan based on the Islamic principles of Murabahah and Tawaruq.

This loan is based on a floating interest rate - the current and newly implemented Base Rate system by Bank Negara Malaysia. Subject to your credit rating, you can borrow up to a maximum of 35 times your salary! Additionally, you will get to enjoy premium banking membership from Bank Rakyat and RM0.50 cashback on MEPS and Tabung Haji transactions at the ATM.

Who is eligible for Bank Raykat Pembiayaan Peribadi-i Rakan Pintar?
This Bank Rakyat personal loan is only for Government Employees and those working in selected GLC companies.

How much money can I borrow?
You can borrow up to RM200,000 on the condition that monthly repayments do not exceed 60% of your gross monthly income. This loan does not require a guarantor or extra security.

How much does an application for a personal loan cost?
This Pembiayaan Peribadi-I Rakan Pintar has no processing fees and there are no hidden charges. You must pay Government Stamp Duty, which amounts to 0.50% of the total borrowed and is added to the borrowed amount.

You will also be required to signup for a Takaful insurance package to cover the period of your loan. The one time premium can be added into the loan.

What do I need to apply for Pembiayaan Peribadi Rakan Pintar?
As this is an unsecured personal loan you don't need to provide a guarantor or down payment with your application. Bank Rakyat will ask for supporting documents such as:

How do I get my hands on the money?
Bank Rakyat may take a few business days to process a loan application. Once the loan is approved, you will have to drop by the bank to sign the documents and hand over the original document to certified true copy.  The borrowed money will be transferred to the account of your choice once all documents are finalised.

How do I pay the money back?
You will be given a loan repayment schedule and you will have to apply for auto-deduction from your salary account.  If your salary account is different from Bank Rakyat, you will have to apply for a standing instruction to automatically deduct the monthly loan repayment.

The stamp duty for a standing instruction is RM10.

Can I pay my Bank Rakyat personal loan off early?
Yes of course. Bank Rakyat will give you a rebate for the interest overcharged when you settle your loan earlier then agreed.
